Performance for extended vocal
In ihrer Performance im Genre des “extended vocal” singt die in Russland geborene Künstlerin Olga Kozmanidze Lieder, die immer wieder rückwärts abgespielt werden. Die zentrale Idee dieser Performance ist es aus einem Lied etwas zu kreieren, das an die Grenzen des Begreifbaren sowie Vortragbaren geht, um damit die Struktur und den immerwährenden Prozess der Selbstkontrolle und Selbstbeobachtung bei einer Live-Performance zu hinterfragen. Damit konfrontiert die Perfomance den Text, den Autor und den konventionellen Körper mit der Verkörperung des Logos und allem "was Sinn macht“.
Die Andersartigkeit, die Sinneslust und die Weiblichkeit manifestieren sich in der Produktion einer chaotischen Stimme mit unbekannter prä- und postlinguistischer Äußerungsform und einem exzessiven Körper mit fremdartigen Gesten und Bewegungen.

Olga Kozmanidze ist eine Performance und Sound Art Künstlerin und Musikerin. In ihrer interdisziplinären Herangehensweise macht sie Projekte in verschiedenen Formaten und Genres, unter anderem partizipative Performances, interaktive Kunst, ortsbezogene Interventionen, Music Performances und Kompositionen, Sound Installationen, Tanz und Improvisation. Unter dem Künstlernamen Unfinishe_ schreibt, spielt und veröffentlicht Olga experimentelle Musik mit Hilfe von präparierten Instrumente, Klavier, Gesang oder Tonbänder, sowie Aufnahmen aus den so genannten Field Recordings. 2016 hat die Künstlerin das Projekt „Sentire“ mitbegründet, eine Serie von partizipativen Performances mit integriertem Sound System und interdisziplinärer Forschung zu menschlicher Wahrnehmung in Zusammenarbeit mit verschiedenen KünstlerInnen, ForscherInnen und Therapeutinnen. Kozmanidze beteiligte sich außerdem an diversen internationalen Projekten, unter anderem CTM Vorspiel, Miami Art Basel, Project Space Festival, Berlin International Performance Art Weekend, oder Moscow Music Week.
In her performance for extended vocal, Russian-born and Berlin-based artist Olga Kozmanidze, sings songs that are being perpetually reversed. Motivated by the idea of creating a piece out of what can neither be conceived nor performed, she questions the structures and eternally running processes of self-control and self-monitoring that influence live performance.
The performance aims to confront text, author and conventional body with incorporated Logos and everything that “makes sense”. Instead it reveals “otherness”, enjoyment and femininity in the form of a chaotic voice production with unknown pre- and postlinguistic utterance and in 'excessive body,' employing unfamiliar postures and movements.
Olga Kozmanidze has a background in performance, music and sound art. She creates works in a variety of media and forms including participatory performances, interactive art, site-specific interventions, music performances, composition, sound installations, dance and improvisation. As Unfinishe_ she plays, produces and releases experimental music made with prepared instruments, field recordings, the piano, electronics, vocals and tape. In 2016 Olga co-founded “Sentire”, a project comprising a participatory performance series with interactive sound system and cross-disciplinary research on human perception that brings together artists, researchers and therapists. Olga has taken part in international events including CTM Vorspiel, Miami Art Basel, Project Space Festival, Berlin International Performance Art Weekend, Moscow Music Week amongst others.
