The Stones

‚Anklänge an Robert Aickman, Shirley Jackson und Henry James  „The Turn of the Screw“...

Zu seinem Werk gehören Stücke wie „The Stones“ (Signal House/King‘s Head Theatre), „Whalesong“ (East 15 School of Acting), „Close“ (The Signal House), „The Plant“ (Ensemble Theatre, Sydney), „The Great Fire“ (Belvoir St Theatre), „A Rabbit For Kim Jong-il“ (Griffin Theatre Company), „Nora“ (after Ibsen‘s „A Doll&‘s House“; Co-Autor, Belvoir), „Small and Tired“ (Co-Autor, Belvoir), „Night Maybe“ (Stuck Pigs Squealing Theatre), und „Heaven“ (Old 505 Theatre).

A chance encounter with an old friend leads recently-unemployed Nick to take a job in the country as a tutor to two young children. The job seems perfect, the family he's working for too good to be true. But then the stones begin to arrive...

The award winning Australian playwright Kit Brookman has crafted a contemporary gothic mystery in which a splintering present gives way to a murky future. Starring Jeff Burrell (Lost Highway - Oper Frankfurt, Neues Theater Halle Actors Ensemble, Nymphomaniac) and directed by Geordie Brookman (Things I Know To Be True - Lyric Hammersmith London & Frantic Assembly) The Stones will deliver a rare combination of creeping dread and poetry.

‘Shades of Robert Aickman, Shirley Jackson and Henry James' The Turn of the Screw… Consummate storytelling in both the writing and the rendering.’ queerguru.com
