«The Unknown Soldier» von Artyom Materinsky ist ein dokumentarisches Stück über die russische Armee und ihr System der Unterordnung.  Es beschäftigt sich mit der Erforschung der Natur von Kriegsverbrechen.

Die gesamten Spenden gehen an die humanitären Programme «Medical Aid Ukraine» und «Emergency Response Ukraine» der deutschen Hilfsorganisation Aid Pioneers.

Artyom Materinsky lives in Moscow. He holds a higher education degree from Sholokhov Moscow State Pedagogical University, as well as having studied at the M. Razbezhkina’s and M. Ugarov’s School of Documentary Film and Theatre.

Currently, he works as a teacher of Russian language and literature at a secondary school.

As a playwright, he has written several texts, including "Orphans" (2014), which has been produced by Break Our Bond in Theatre.doc, directed by E. Gremina, and in Khabarovsk Theatre for Young People directed by K. Kuchikin, as well as in Theatre 18+ directed by O. Zibrova. He has also written “Music Lessons” (2018), which won 3rd place in the "Remarque" competition, “OPK” (2020), which was shortlisted in "First Reading" and the "Remarque" competition, and “9” (Lubimovka, 2021), which was an audiovisual staging at the Voznesensky Centre, directed by A. Zhiganov.

In addition to his writing, he has worked as a director on several productions, including "Meat" (GCCI, Moscow, 2019), "Delirium" (as part of the spontaneous program of the festival "Access Point", 2020), and "18% - Theme: 'Taboo for Non-Love'" (with the support of the Cultural Foundation "Thursday").

He primarily uses methods of documentary theatre, documentary poetry, work with documents, testimonial existence, and observation in his dramaturgical work.

«The Unknown Soldier» by Artyom Materinsky is a documentary about the Russian army and its system of subordination. This play explores the nature of war crimes.


All funds raised from ticket sales will be donated to the 'Aid Pioneers' a German charity organization, delivering humanitarian programs 'Medical Aid Ukraine' and 'Emergency Response Ukraine'.
