Was ist „Baum Bär Bauch”?
First, take a deep breath, develop a centered awareness. The sound of your breath will prompt an impulse to move. Next, allow the volume of your breath to inspire further movement. We call this the BEAR.
The movement partner is grounded, providing direction through contact. We call this the TREE.
Moving intuitively, both the BEAR and TREE establish their own natural way of moving. This original, uninhibited movement is called the BELLY.
With breath, the two partners will explore movement along each other’s central axis, or TRUNK. This will develop into further improvisation.
道 (Dō) means "The Way" - a lifelong journey of self-cultivation through practice.
The 道場 (Dōjō) is not just a training hall; it is a sacred space where we walk "the Way" together - through body, mind, and spirit.
In this practice, we embrace the spirit of 一期一会 (Ichigo Ichie) - One Moment In Life - the understanding that each meeting, each movement, is unique and unrepeatable.
Through improvisational expression, we cultivate essential qualities:
Self-awareness - perceiving your own body and spirit clearly
Empathy and sensitivity toward others - sensing and responding to the presence of others
Reading the flow of the moment and providing the best response
Mental strength - staying centered amidst change
Analytical insight - learning and evolving through each experience
The path is not merely about technique.
It is the constant dance between inner and outer worlds, the silent dialogue between self and universe.
Every step, every breath, every encounter becomes a ritual of becoming.
Here, improvisation is not a method - it is life itself.
