California Girls is the story of three friends and their microwave. The world of the play is created using only the light from an overhead projector. On stage, the actors are joined by the wonderful Beach Boys, supplying you with hot tunes all day and all night. California Girls is a playful and mesmerizing play, intimate and innocent. It invites the audience into a home; a home that we can’t possibly hold on to, a home that is forever changing, a home filled with the soothing smell of freshly popped popcorn.

California Girls ist die Geschichte von drei Freund:innen und ihrer Mikrowelle. Die Szenerie des Stücks entsteht allein durch die Nutzung eines Overheadprojektors und seines Lichts. Auf der Bühne werden die Schauspieler:innen live von den wunderbaren „Beach Boys“ begleitet, die das Publikum Tag und Nacht mit guter Musik versorgen. Das Stück ist verspielt und fesselnd, intim und unschuldig.
California Girls lädt das Publikum in ein Zuhause ein, an dem sich unmöglich festhalten lässt, ein Zuhause, das ständiger Veränderung unterworfen ist, ein Zuhause, das erfüllt ist von dem beruhigenden Geruch frisch gemachten Popcorns.
The ensemble behind the production consists of the actors and creators: Freja Sande, Myra Amneskog, 'TJ Yacap' and co-director Yara Mimi Höhn.
All artists based in Berlin, who recently graduated from Art school, where they met and have since then collaborated to create film and theater.
Additionally on stage are The Beach Boys: Sam Gerathy, Trevor Lang and Scott B Mackay, three amazing musicians from respectively Ireland, Canada and USA.
Das Ensemble von California Girls besteht aus den Schauspieler:innen und Macher:innen: Freja Sande, Myra Amneskog, „TJ Yacap“ und Co-Regisseurin Yara Mimi Höhn. Alle Künstler:innen leben und arbeiten in Berlin, wo sie kürzlich ihr Kunststudium abgeschlossen haben und bei dem sie sich auch begegnet sind. Seither kollaborieren sie, um Filme und Theaterstücke zu kreieren.
Begleitet wird das Stück außerdem von der Band The Beach Boys: Sam Gerathy, Trevor Lang und Scott B. Mackay, drei großartige Musiker aus Irland, Kanada und den USA.
